Welcome to the $CRIP Program!
We’d like to tell you about a wonderful way to raise money for St. Christopher School that benefits all students and their families. SCRIP is a way to pay for goods and services you would routinely buy – without paying any additional monies for your purchases.

What is SCRIP? SCRIP is a year-round fundraising program that generates thousands of dollars for St. Christopher School. SCRIP is a paper certificate or plastic card used as a substitute for money in exchange for goods or services such as groceries, retail, gas, restaurants and entertainment. For example, when you purchase $100 of SCRIP you receive SCRIP certificates that will buy $100 of merchandise.

How Will St. Christopher Earn Money Through SCRIP? St. Christopher purchases SCRIP certificates at a discount. For example, $100 of Cub Foods SCRIP costs St. Christopher $95, thereby earning $5 or 5% for our children when you buy the certificates from us. The greater our parish participation, the greater the profit. These SCRIP profits are used to keep tuition costs as low as possible and reduce the parish subsidy of the school!

How Can I Participate in the SCRIP Program?

(1) Use the reloadable Kroger card:
            a. Purchase a reusable Kroger gift card from St. Christopher – a $5 value.
            b. Load that Kroger card with any amount up to $250. You can do this at   the Kroger Customer Service Counter or at the register before you pay for your purchases.
            c. Pay for your Kroger purchases with your loaded Kroger card.
            d. Continue using the same card each time you shop at Krogers.
            e. St. Christopher receives a check every four weeks for 4% of the total amount loaded on all Kroger cards sold by St. Christopher.
            f. You can also use the card as payment at Kroger fuel pumps!

(2) Buy certificates from our Inventory. We have the following popular certificates in stock:
            Cub Foods - $10’s, $20’s, and $50’s
            Kohls - $10’s, $25’s, $50’s (pay your Kohl’s charge card balance
with these)
            Speedway - $25’s, $100’s (you can pay at the pump with these)
            Bob Evans - $5
            Cracker Barrel - $10
            Max & Erma’s - $10
            Olive Garden/Red Lobster/Smokey Bones - $25
            Panera Bread - $10
            Wendy’s - $10 (book of five $2 certificates)

(3) Place a BONUS order from our extensive list of restaurants and retailers. These orders are processed once a month most of the year, and two to three times a month in November and December. Order restaurant, entertainment, or store certificates to use yourself, or to give as a gift for any special occasion.

(4) Monthly Standing Order. If you make regular purchases at Cub Foods, Kohl’s, and/or Speedway this is a convenient way to buy SCRIP. Fill out the Standing Order Form just once and your order will be ready the 1st weekend of every month.

Where Can I Buy SCRIP or Submit an Order?

(1) After Mass (Pick-up Only): SCRIP orders can be picked up after any Mass in the Religious Articles Store. The store does not sell the certificates but you can mark your monthly Standing Order or any BONUS order for pick-up in the Religious Articles Store.

(2) School Office: Send in your order and payment to the school office. You can pick up the order yourself or have it sent home from school with your student. Orders for certificates we have in Inventory are usually processed the same day received on school days.

(3) Parish Office: During Spring break, summer vacation, and Christmas vacation SCRIP is available in the Parish Office on weekdays.

NOTE: SCRIP certificates are like cash; please keep them in a safe place. St. Christopher School is not responsible for replacing SCRIP certificates that are lost or stolen.

Results for first five years – the SCRIP Program has earned over $90,000 in profit for the St. Christopher School budget since the program started in March 2001! That's $90,000 in income that did not have to come from parents in the form of higher tuition rates or from the parish subsidy.
