Our pre-kindergarten program empowers each child to grow intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and socially in a loving and secure environment. We offer small class sizes and wonderful staff, who nurture kindness, curiosity, and responsibility. Our goal is to encourage each child to honor their individual identities, and to foster self-confidence and an enjoyment of the learning process.
With intentional, compassionate guidance, our pre-kindergarten students learn to navigate friendships, make good choices, and care for themselves and others. Ultimately, our pre-kindergarten program is a reflection of the core mission and vision of St. Christopher School.
We offer two-, three-, and five-day pre-kindergarten programs for ages 3 and 4. For two- and three-day programs, families have the option to choose their preferred weekdays. Our age-appropriate curriculum exceeds New York State standards and ensures that your child is prepared to succeed in kindergarten.
Our enthusiastic teachers engage our students with interactive and play-based activities that help them explore ideas and develop skills that will reach well beyond preschool.
Subjects include reading and math readiness, religion, language arts, science and social studies taught in planned thematic units. Children also attend classes in Spanish, media/library, music, art, and physical education.
